The thirty-three-year-old, Fredison Carniero, finished the 26.2-mile marathon in 2 hours, 21 minutes and 14 seconds that ended the winning streak of Adriano Bastos, a seven-time winner, who placed 15th.

Nabbing second place was a Virginia native, Michael Wardian who clocked in at 2:27:39 and an Orlando native, Paul Nielsen, grabbed third with 2:31:44.

Booming New Blast Erupts From Indonesian Volcano

The new blast came as Indonesia also struggles to respond to a tsunami that devastated a remote chain of islands. The twin disasters, unfolding simultaneously on opposite ends of the seismically active country, have killed nearly 500 people and severely tested the government's emergency response network. Ronnie James Dio - Canceled its summer tour plans in Europe

Earlier this month, HEAVEN & HELL canceled its summer tour plans in Europe due to Dio's treatment for stomach cancer. The band said in a statement that Dio wasn't "well enough to tour this summer.
